I am credentialed as an in-network provider with Aetna, Cigna, and Anthem BC/BS.  I hope to be able to accept Medicare at some future date.  I will also see individuals as an out-of-network provider and furnish a superbill you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.  My private pay rate is $160 an hour.  I offer a sliding scale fee based on income if needed.

what is integrative

Mental Health Care?

I am trained and licensed as a psychologist. For over a decade I have worked with people facing marked mental and physical challenges in “the second half of life,” as conceived of by the Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung, who thought that aging was a time to distill what is essential, rather than a time of decline. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders related to medical illness and aging. In my clinical work, I have found that in addition to talk therapy, there are other techniques that help people move past distressing symptoms, such as EMDR, tapping, breathwork, and lifestyle changes. To this end, I am trained in integrative medicine. (I am not a registered dietitian, nor a medical prescriber and do not offer these services.) Integrative care recognizes the centrality of the mind-body-soul connection and uses a variety of tools to enhance overall well-being. All pieces of one’s life fit together to tell the story. Physical symptoms and the meaning assigned to them play a significant role in mental health. Each person is on his or her own unique health journey. My goal is to reduce distressing symptoms to support autonomy and help individuals take full advantage of what the second half of life has to offer.
